About the Hospital
Manning Base Hospital has 180 beds with all the specialities you would expect of a Rural Hospital, providing a diverse caseload and a supportive multi-disciplinary team.
The Occupational Therapy service works across many clinical settings including Emergency Department, inpatient and community caseloads.
The small team fosters supportive and positive working relationships and the OT team is a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team.

The Role
Manning Base Hospital is looking for a versatile, experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent full-time basis (32 hours per week).
The role is a Level 3 Occupational Therapist with the opportunity to work across multiple clinical areas, including but not limited to the Emergency Department and multi-purpose unit.
The role involves providing high quality Occupational Therapy service in an acute setting and requires willingness to cover a 7-day per week service.
Support and Development
You will be supported by the Occupational Therapy Department Manager, the Emergency Department Occupational Therapist and the rest of the Occupational Therapy Team.
You will also be supported by members of the hospital multi-disciplinary team.
You will have access to orientation based on your background and level of experience as well as a range of supportive clinical specialists.
Regular clinical supervision will be provided, and you will have access to a supportive network of Occupational Therapists across the LMNCS.
Education and training opportunities will be identified and agreed upon as part of performance development discussions.
About You
Experience in a wide variety of clinical areas and working in an acute clinical setting.
Provide a high-quality, evidence-based clinical service to patients and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Able to prioritise a caseload across a variety of clinical areas.
Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and also work autonomously.
Provide support and learning opportunities to junior Occupational Therapists.
Requirements
Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
Willingness to work across a 7-day roster.

Additional Information
Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract.
Payments to part-time and contract employees will be made pro-rata in accordance with your contract terms.
An eligibility list will be created for future permanent and temporary vacancies.
Eligibility for permanent employment requires Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or New Zealand citizenship with a current New Zealand passport.
Temporary visa holders may be considered only if no suitable local candidate is identified.
