Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Mental Health Counsellor - Clinician to join our team in Townsville, Queensland.
Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group therapeutic services utilising evidence based focused psychological strategies within a family and community context.
* Develop and implement trauma-informed, age-appropriate, culturally responsive and integrated services that support positive outcomes for children and young people.
* Collaborate with caregivers and kin to enhance the well-being of young people and their families.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of programmes and services that promote the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Requirements
* Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field.
* Full registration with AHPRA (as relevant to the field of occupation).
* Membership of/or eligible to become a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)/Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (as relevant to the field of occupation).
* Eligibility to apply for a Medicare Provider Number.
