BMS will assign the specialist area based on business needs and candidate suitability.

The right applicant will ideally:
* Have previous experience as a Medical Administrator ideally working within a private surgical specialist practice.
* Possess a minimum of 2-3 years of medical administration experience.
* A polished, friendly demeanour with a flexible and efficient work style, thriving in a small team setting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on patient interaction.
* Have strong competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Be experienced with the use of medical admin software. (Genie/Gentu, Xestro, Shexie)
* Strong phone etiquette and the ability to communicate effectively with both the team and doctors while working remotely.
* Be able to work in a small team environment and autonomously if required.
* Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to adapt to varying work styles and situations.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Prepare and manage patient clinics, serving as the first point of contact for patients in clinic and via phone and email.
* Manage incoming telephone calls and general patient enquiries
* Coordinate patient correspondence and collaborate closely with surgeons and specialists to ensure timely patient care.
* Schedule patient appointments and procedures, and organise theatre lists efficiently.
* Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations, including theatre procedures (using Genie/Gentu/Clinic to Cloud/Xestro and Eclipse billing platforms)
* Liaising with hospital staff, pathology, and imaging.
* All general front desk reception, secretarial, and administrative support to the surgeon/specialists as required.
