This is a junior-level position that offers the chance to join an Environmental, Health, and Safety team in Australia. As an EHS Specialist, you'll provide support to energy EHS and construction teams while building foundational skills in energy and construction sectors.
You'll assist project and construction managers in achieving their occupational health and safety obligations, enabling effective contractor management. This will contribute to successful project execution and drive mission forward.

Responsibilities
* Support the EHS team with proactive mindset throughout the construction lifecycle of projects.
* Help plan, coordinate, and deliver occupational health and safety requirements for Energy projects.
* Support project and construction managers in achieving their occupational health and safety obligations, including contractor management, risk mitigation, and compliance.
* Provide input on risk assessments, procedures, work instructions, and initiatives to enhance frontline occupational safety.
* Collect, analyze, and report occupational health and safety data, including event reports, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
* Assist in developing, implementing, and executing local and global occupational health and safety objectives.
* Support event analysis, follow-up actions, management, and process enhancements.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in occupational safety, environmental science, project management, or related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in construction, such as site work, safety coordination, or related fieldwork.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analytics.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team while operating independently.
* Strong bias for action, creative problem-solving, and strong work ethic.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage shifting demands, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
* Detail-oriented approach, executing tasks efficiently and accurately.
