Job Title: Senior Civil Designer, Water Infrastructure
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Designer to join our Water Infrastructure team. This role can be based in Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering design and drafting support for projects. This role requires a dynamic individual who can offer technical input within the design team, undertake technical reviews of deliverables, and actively participate in project meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and Drafting Support: Provide design and drafting support for project teams.
* Documentation Coordination: Ability to coordinate design documentation deliverables across disciplines.
* Project Setup: Coordinate the setup of projects on data sources and manage user access.
* Technical Input: Provide technical input within the design team.
* Project Meetings: Attend and participate in project meetings.
* Communication: Effective communication both internally within the business and with external clients.
* Service Delivery: Support and promote strong service delivery to internal and external clients.
* Resource Sharing: Promote and participate in resource sharing opportunities.
* Risk Management: Support Project Managers in managing operational risk, HSE, and quality.
You'll Need:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Civil Engineering Qualification: Associate degree in Civil Engineering (or relevant equivalent) and relevant industry chartership / accreditation.
* Experience: Ideally around 5 - 10 years' experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and/or 12D.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks.
* Civil Design Projects: Have knowledge and experience with civil design projects including topographic surveys, DTMs, pipeline grading, and utility layouts.
* General Office Software: Proficiency with general office software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) and visualization software.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work independently, coordinate with various disciplines, and to manage multiple tasks and projects under deadlines, as well as anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner.
