About the role
We are seeking an experienced Cafe/Restaurant Manager to join our team at babal pd pty ltd' in the idyllic coastal town of Port Douglas, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our popular cafe and restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and financial performance.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe and restaurant, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting
- Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers and maintain a loyal customer base
- Managing and motivating a team of front-of-house and kitchen staff, providing training and development opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Monitoring and analysing financial performance, and implementing cost-effective measures to improve profitability
- Collaborating with the owner and management team to drive the overall business strategy and growth
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar cafe/restaurant management role.
- Formal Qualification of least diploma level
- Proven track record of successfully leading and inspiring a team of hospitality professionals
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to provide a high-quality dining experience
- Proficient in using relevant hospitality management software and tools
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, licensing requirements, and industry best practices
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
