An appointment to Alkimos College presents an exciting opportunity to join the staff of an innovative, state-of-the-art secondary college that is committed to building a culture of high performance and high care for students and staff. Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world-class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, IT labs, technology workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms.

The Role
The Program Coordinator – Student Services will be a key leader within our school. The successful applicant should display the capacity to support student achievement through a positive learning framework and approach. You will ideally manage and deliver relevant programs and initiatives to support staff and students and enhance learning conditions and positive school culture. You would be a key member of the school leadership team, working towards the deliverables within the business plan.
The role of Program Coordinator – Student Services is dynamic, strategic, proactive, fast-paced and hands-on. The successful applicant would work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator – Senior School, Student Services personnel and executive and leadership teams to develop, manage, and deliver relevant programs and initiatives to support the school's direction. The successful applicant will ideally be an effective communicator who is able to handle difficult conversations in a compassionate and empathetic way.
As a Program Coordinator, you would be responsible for monitoring and reporting on lower school students in relation to attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, educational engagement and students at educational risk. This role is an integral part of our Student Services area, and the successful applicant should display their ability to motivate and lead by example. As Program Coordinator, you would provide support to teachers in student wellbeing and work in a collaborative team through strategies such as targeted intervention and student case management. To ensure high quality outcomes for students, the Program Coordinator Student Services should build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders. The role oversees relevant student services activities, interventions, and workflow. A main component of the role also includes data analysis and tracking skills to support key initiatives and work streams.

hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
