Sound Psychology is a private psychology practice dedicated to supporting people through complex life transitions that affect identity, health, and wellbeing.

Our clinicians regularly support people experiencing:
· midlife transitions including perimenopause and menopause

· trauma and identity disruption following major life events
· burnout, role overload, and midlife reassessment
· questions about identity, acceptance, and interpersonal relationships
We are looking for a psychologist who is drawn to this work and wants to build meaningful expertise within a thoughtful and supportive clinical team.
About Sound Psychology
Sound Psychology is a well-established private practice in Rockingham built on the values of:
Connect | Grow | Thrive
Our approach recognises that psychological wellbeing is shaped by the interaction between biological, psychological, and life circumstances.
Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, we support clients to:
• understand what is happening in their lives and bodies
• reconnect with identity, strengths, and purpose
• develop practical strategies for navigating change
Our practice includes a growing focus on midlife women’s mental health alongside our ongoing work with defence members, veterans, and adults navigating often complex life challenges.
The Opportunity
We are seeking psychologists who would like to build a sustainable and meaningful clinical role within a collaborative practice environment.
Opportunities within the role include:
• individual therapy with adults
• working with midlife women navigating hormonal and life transitions
• supporting defence members and veterans
• working with clients experiencing chronic health conditions and pain
• contributing to psychoeducational groups or workshops
• collaborating with GPs and allied health professionals
Psychologists who enjoy contributing to program development, education, and innovative service delivery will find opportunities to do so within the practice.
The Type of Psychologist Who Thrives Here
The clinicians who fit best within our practice tend to value:
· thoughtful, relational therapy
· understanding the whole person rather than focusing only on symptoms
· collaborative care with medical and allied health professionals
· curiosity, ongoing learning and insight
· sustainable caseloads and meaningful clinical work
· transparency and accountability
Experience in areas such as trauma, health psychology, women’s mental health, or life transition work is welcome but genuine interest and willingness to develop expertise is equally valued.
