As a Social Worker specialising in Sexual Health you will provide high quality service as well as adapting to non-routine clinical practice and have an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

The Cairns Sexual Health Service (CSHS) is a community service located within the Cairns North Community Health Centre. We provide high quality sexual health services which includes, but is not limited to, the areas of blood-borne viruses, transgender health care, abortion care, and sexually transmitted infections throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
About you:
In your new role you will……
* Exercise independent clinical judgement and more complex decision making in areas such as psychosocial assessments; short- and long-term case management; counselling; crisis intervention for a broad range of clinical presentations.
* Provide clinical leadership and demonstrate high level management skills in monitoring and prioritising workload demands.
* Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with patients/clients, their families, community groups, other health professionals, supervisors and students applying high level communication skills.
