Job Title
The role of Port Planner is responsible for driving weekly planning activities for terminals to deliver grains plans ranging from receival and outload through to hygiene and fumigations.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Port Planner and work closely with the Operations team to ensure allocation and utilisation of all assets.
Circulating plans with the monthly planning team and operations team to ensure maximum value delivered and feasibility is crucial in this role.
Partnering with the Port Operations team to deliver better performance against plan is essential, as well as collaborating effectively with the Supply Chain Planning team to include all relevant factors in plans.
* Driving weekly planning activities for terminals to deliver grains plans
* Working with the Operations team to ensure allocation and utilisation of all assets
* Circulating plans with the monthly planning team and operations team to ensure maximum value delivered and feasibility
* Partnering with the Port Operations team to deliver better performance against plan
* Collaborating effectively with the Supply Chain Planning team to include all relevant factors in plans
* Monitoring gaps to monthly plans and managing any weekly exceptions
* Escalating strategic annual exceptions to the annual planning team
* Providing input into planning tools and recommendations for continuous improvement
About You
Our ideal candidate will have sound previous experience and knowledge in a planning or logistics position based at a port.
