**Assistant Buyer - Bevilles**
With a focus on the future, Michael Hill is looking for an energetic and career focussed Assistant Buyer to join our newly acquired brand, Bevilles.
This is truly exciting opportunity to join a well-established and reputable jewellery retailer, with a network of 26 stores and a growing online presence. This is a full time opportunity, based in Southbank Melbourne. Bevilles is a Family-owned Australian jewellery and watch retailer noting growth, a loyal customer base and investing in an omni-channel strategy.
**In this hands-on role, your Primary responsibilities will be to**:
- Maintain and provide administration for the product categories
- Prepare analysis reports and recommendations for the Buyer
- Assist the Buyer with the selection and assortment of the product ranges and new line presentations
- Maintain a strong communication link between Merchandising and cross functional departments
- Support promotional activity in line with marketing briefs and on time in accordance with the merchandising Promotional Planning Calendar
- Identify trends in the market and highlight opportunity for new products
**As the successful applicant, you will have**:
- Strong analytical skills
- A solid understanding of the retail industry and market needs
- Have a strong work ethic, good time management skills and adaptable to change
- Degree qualified or 1+ years exposure in a Merchandising department
- Your superior communication skills, strong customer service focus and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment will ensure your success
