We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Venue and Events Officer to join our team at Singleton Council for a 12 month contract. In this role, you'll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

**THE ROLE**
We are seeking an experienced Venue and Events Officer to present, operate and promote the Civic Centre as a high-quality function venue that meets the needs of the Singleton community.
With qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in event and function management, you will actively promote and oversee the Civic Centre Operations; coordinating functions and initiatives related to the Civic Centre. You will also liaise directly with the public, caterers, staff and clients to manage events, promote the Centre and improve usage.
Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in hospitality or customer service provision is a must.
To be successful in this role you must have qualifications and/or be able to demonstrate your experience in hospitality or customer service provision. Ability to work after hours and weekends to suit planned events and functions is a must.

This position is offered on a temporary, full-time basis working 35 hours per week for a period of 12 months on a 7-day basis, including weekend work.
Remuneration for the position is based on Grade 8 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $62,994 to $70,861 per year plus superannuation based on hours of work.
