Mount Barker District Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Team Member Rapid Response to join our Operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for undertaking a broad range of make safe, rapid response and minor maintenance duties to public spaces in response to customer requests and programmed inspections. This position is required to perform physical tasks and is ideally suited to team members with a public space and or civil maintenance skill set and background including machinery and small plant operation.
MR truck licence is a requirement of the role and demonstrated experience in general open space and infrastructure maintenance activities is essential.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
* Experience in general open space and infrastructure maintenance activities in a local government of similar setting
· Extensive experience in the completion and adherence to internal safety procedures, including Safe Work Method Statements and Job Safety Analysis.
· Required to hold a current MR Truck Licence.
· Required to hold Chainsaw ticket or willing to obtain.
· Required to hold a White Card, or willing to obtain.
· Required to hold current Workzone Traffic Management certification, or willing to obtain.
* Other tickets / licences in forklift, backhoe and other plant operations is desirable
