The Role
This role will primarily focus on providing project and commercial analysis work and further support to the Expansion Study, covering the standard functional requirements of an analyst position.
This is a full-time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract based at our Perth Office.
Key Responsibilities
Active participation in establishing a health and safety culture.
Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.
Maintain detailed knowledge of key operational and technical aspects of the project to support preparation of high-quality investment cases.
Help develop and maintain a flexible financial model (with support from the Finance Team as required) to support project valuation and cash flow forecasting, including management of the capital cost trend register.
Develop and compile the financial model assumptions and assumptions paper, liaising with the Expansion Study team to compile the model inputs, validating sources, and preparing for inclusion in the model and reports.
Meet all financial analysis requirements including updated expenditure forecasts, scenario analysis, trade-off studies, and sensitivities for business decisions.
Contribute to the business case development for the Expansion Project.
Present project commercial analysis, support commercial claims, tender evaluations, and proposal analysis.
Support commercial processes, negotiations, and document preparation as needed.
Prepare ad-hoc analysis and presentation materials for leadership and shareholders.
Assist with Management Committee / Shareholder updates and reporting, providing data and analyses.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, commerce, economics, or equivalent.
CA/CFA or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate finance, business development, or commercial roles.
Strong financial modelling, analysis, and writing skills.
Mining and/or chemicals industry experience is desirable.
Operations and project experience is desirable.
