Mackay Women's Services is currently seeking a proactive and experienced clinician to lead a new local initiative, providing specialist responses to victim survivors of sexual violence.

Position Overview:
As the MSART Coordinator you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination and governance of a multidisciplinary, interagency Mackay Sexual Assault Response Team (MSART), developing and delivering a best practice model of care that is integrated, trauma-informed, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of victim-survivors of sexual violence.

The Coordinator will support a collaborative, cross-sector approach and foster a culture of shared ownership, accountability and commitment among key stakeholders. The position operates within a strong social justice and feminist framework, ensuring these principles inform service delivery, system advocacy and continuous improvement initiatives. Reportable to the Services Manager, the Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, compliance against service agreements and funding requirements, reporting obligations, and contributing to the sustainability, quality, and impact of the service.
In addition, you will work within the practice principles, standards and guidance for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Services.

Qualifications:
(Essential):
* Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related discipline, and registration/membership (or eligibility for registration) with appropriate professional representative/governing body (i.e., AHPRA; AASW) -or- Diploma of Counselling with registration/membership (or eligibility for registration) with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
* Applied knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, specifically Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
* Driver's License.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – or the ability to acquire.
* Current National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire.
* Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience working with women and/or children (including families, traditional and non-traditional) experiencing or with a history of experiencing sexual assault and/or domestic and family violence.
* Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and all CALD community members, with a sound understanding of both culture and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society.
* Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use and navigate the Microsoft Office Suite.
(Desirable):
* A good understanding of trauma theory, to inform assessment and decision making.
* Sound understanding and knowledge of QLD Child Protection system and relevant legislation including the Child Protection Act 1999.
* Demonstrated experience working with women and/or children (including families, traditional and non-traditional) exhibiting complex and multiple support needs.
