About the Opportunity
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a global brand providing a range of machinery for construction and mining industries.
We are seeking a Trades Assistant to assist Fitters in the day-to-day operations of our Muswellbrook Reman Facility.
This role reports to the Reman Centre Supervisor, with responsibilities including:
* Assisting with store control, including receiving and dispatching remanufactured items
* Cleaning and repairing remanufactured components according to procedures
* Disassembling components as required, following established procedures
* Maintaining accuracy during final quality assurance inspections and preparing units for dispatch
* Operating forklifts
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
To succeed in this position:
* You must prioritize safety and adhere to site safety protocols
* You should be mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn
* A basic understanding of Mining, Earthmoving and/or Construction equipment is required
* You should be able to identify basic product quality deviations and faults
* Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential
* You may be required to work flexible hours and overtime
* Forklift License and spray-painting experience are advantageous
