About the role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Officer to join the team at the Gold Coast Potters Association on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organisation, ensuring the smooth running of our administrative functions and supporting our team of talented artists and pottery enthusiasts. The position is based in Benowa, QLD.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the association's office operations, including filing, records management, and general administrative tasks
* Provide administrative support to the President, Committee, and other team members as needed
* Coordinate events, workshops, and other member activities
* Assist with the organisation's financial management, including invoicing, payments, and bookkeeping
* Act as the primary point of contact for members, answering queries and providing excellent customer service
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
* Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements
* Open the associations gallery and manage sales from the community.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in an office management or similar administrative role, ideally within the arts or not-for-profit sector
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Proficient in the use of standard office software, such as Microsoft Office suite
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work
* A genuine interest in the arts and pottery community
