The City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to drive our Learning, Engagement and Planning agenda. In this pivotal role, you will shape strategic capability, foster a culture of continuous growth and engage teams in meaningful, transformative ways. You will lead a high performing, talented team to deliver human-centred, high impact capability initiatives that drive organisational growth and excellence. You'll champion innovation in learning design, lead strategic development programs, and collaborate across CN to elevate culture, engagement, and change readiness.

You will oversee major strategic projects, secure funding including through grants and government programs, and embed continuous improvement through meaningful insights and analytics. From developing future talent pipelines to strengthening organisational health, this is a dynamic role for a seasoned learning and development leader ready to shape the future. * 35-hour working week with flexible/hybrid work arrangements/model as well as an optional 9-day fortnight

* 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment

Remuneration: $142,965.62 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
