About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric ward.
We currently have a Permanent Part Time positions working 24 hours per week. This position will involve working on a 24/7 rotating roster including early, late, night and weekend shifts.
Salary range: $40.27 – 51.74 (Registered Nurse Level 1) per hour plus superannuation and NFP salary packaging up to $15,900
We provide surgery for babies, children and adolescents, offering age appropriate, compassionate care. Our Paediatrics Team is experienced in helping both you and your child relax during your stay with us. We support you and your child from admission through to recovery, and explain what is happening in simple language to help reduce any fears or concerns.
We provide specialised paediatric care covering general medical and surgical care for treatments including:
1. Dental
2. Ear, nose and throat
3. General surgery
4. Orthopaedics
5. Ophthalmology
6. Plastic surgery
7. Urology

About you
We are searching for a nurse with a passion for Paediatric care to seamlessly join the team and hit-the-ground-running, continuing your nursing career and providing exceptional care for our patients and their families from day one. As such, you will possess:
8. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
9. Minimum 12 months post graduate experience
10. Demonstrated paediatric nursing experience (desirable not essential)
11. Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
12. Strong paediatric focus and passion for providing family centred care
13. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
14. A commitment to learn and develop your skills and commitment to the continued quality improvement and best practice principles within your role
