Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a leading regional hospital in South Australia offering emergency care, general and surgical services, maternity, outpatient clinics, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, and paediatric department.
About the Role
As a Services Assistant, you will deliver a high standard of service through the provision of timely, efficient and effective catering and cleaning services within the health unit. Your duties will include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, general housekeeping and laundry tasks. You will maintain a safe and hygienic environment by performing cleaning duties that reduce the risk of cross infection, including specialised cleaning such as operating theatres and handling contaminated waste. You will support catering functions by preparing food items, assisting with dietary requirements and maintaining food safety standards.
Qualifications
* Experience in housekeeping, cooking/catering or laundry.
* Experience with computer packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Experience exercising own judgement and initiative in the day‐to‐day execution of a position.
Immunisation Risk
Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
