We are seeking a reliable Gantry crane Operator/ Forklift Operator to support operations involving the unloading of sea containers arriving by rail and the loading and unloading of steel coils. The role involves working across both outdoor and indoor environments and using a counterbalance forklift, with full training provided. Opportunities for gantry crane operation are available for suitably licensed candidates. Our client stocks high-quality steel and aluminium products
Working hours
: Must be able to do both. shifts would be rotating weekly
Days: 5.45am - 2pm
Arvos: 1.45pm - 10pm
Pay Rates
Day: $36.35 per hour
Arvos: $37.16 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Unload sea containers from trains arriving on the rail line
* Load and unload steel coils from trucks and containers using a counterbalance forklift
* Work across outdoor rail yard and indoor warehouse environments
* Manually remove foam blocks from containers that secure steel coils
* Safely secure, move, and position steel coils in designated locations
* Operate gantry crane where licensed and trained
* Follow all safety procedures and site-specific operating guidelines
* Maintain good housekeeping standards within the work area
Requirements
* Valid LF Forklift Licence (essential)
* Gantry Crane (CB) Licence (essential)
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks as required
* Willingness to work outdoors and indoors
* Strong commitment to workplace safety
