We are seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Regional Director – Mining Operations to lead the operational performance, strategic direction, and growth of a regional mining portfolio based in Brisbane. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall performance of regional mining operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of production targets Provide strategic oversight across multiple mine sites, operational teams, and support functions Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, and cost optimisation initiatives across the region Oversee mine planning, production execution, maintenance strategy, and asset utilisation to maximise operational performance Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory obligations Manage operational risk, workforce capability, contractor performance, and business continuity across multiple sites Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial performance in line with business objectives Build strong relationships with site leaders, regulators, traditional owners, contractors, community stakeholders, and corporate leadership Support capital projects, expansion programs, and operational improvement initiatives across the portfolio Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders and cross-functional teams Foster a culture of accountability, safety leadership, continuous improvement, and collaboration Requirements You are an experienced senior mining leader with a strong track record of managing large-scale operations across multiple sites or a major regional portfolio. You combine strategic thinking with operational depth and are confident leading in complex, high-risk, production-driven environments. You are respected for your leadership presence, commercial judgement, stakeholder management skills, and ability to deliver sustainable results through people, systems, and disciplined execution.
