Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing Stockfeeds team in a newly created position. This permanent full-time position may be remotely based to service our growing customer base or based in the Mort & Co Toowoomba Office. The key responsibilities are:
* Work closely with internal and stakeholders to develop and execute the sales strategy, taking responsibility for sales of Stockfeed products to growers.
* Deliver profitable markets and trading opportunities for Stockfeed products that are complimentary to Mort & Co Stockfeeds' existing markets, ensuring brand development and trading of Mort & Co Stockfeeds' products is constantly supplying to growers' needs and requirements.
* Build and maintain strong relationships across the agricultural, grazing, and broader industry sectors, while promoting Mort & Co Stockfeeds through relevant industry events, trade shows, and seminars.
* Proactively identify and develop new customer accounts at local and national levels, managing leads and maintaining a robust sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of opportunities.
* Maximise the profitability through proactive account management and customer relations to ensure effective, timely and clear communication in relation to sales, operations and delivery.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have substantial experience in an agricultural sales role and a solid understanding of Stockfeeds and animal nutrition.
You will also bring:
* Intermediate skills in software navigation, including Microsoft Office and other relevant databases
* A degree in an agricultural or animal nutrition field is desirable but not essential.
* The ability to build and maintain a strong technical knowledge of Mort & Co Grazing Products
* Excellent time management and attention to detail.
* Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
* Possesses a strong work ethic with an ability to use initiative.
* The ability to remain level-headed under pressure.
* The ability to build strong internal and external business relationships.
* Gains the respect and confidence of others.
* Good judgement & the ability to make timely practical effective decisions.
