Our client is an industry leader in the supply and assembly of high-quality process control industrial automation equipment. Their products are used across many industry sectors, primarily Metals & Mining, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.
With decades of business success and outstanding staff retention they are now on the hunt for an experienced **Mechanical Trades Supervisor** to join the business and lead a close-knit team of Mechanical tradesmen. They are looking for someone who has a desire to grow with the company and be an investment for the long run.
**About the role**:
Located in the Western suburbs, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor who is looking to stay on the tools while leading a small team. Working full-time, 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday with Saturday overtime when required.
**What's involved?**
Duties include but are not limited to
- Supervise, guide and direct staff, escalating any issues to the Operations Manager
- Enforce and influence high levels of WHS within the workplace
- Conduct team meetings & toolbox meetings
- Training and development of staff
- Review relevant technical drawings and plans
- Fabricate, assemble and repair mechanical and associated equipment
- Fault find and quality control own and others work, fixing and adjusting as required
- Monitor and requisition workshop materials
- Assist and liaise with Sales and Project Engineers
**About you**:
- Hold a relevant trade certificate
- Demonstrated experience supervising/managing a team
- Good computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- People person with a great attitude
