Clinical Nurse Manager – Cooinda Mental Health Unit
Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast, QLD
Employment Term: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities and Scope:
* Oversee the operational leadership and development of the Cooinda Mental Health Unit, reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services.
* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare leaders including Nurse Management to deliver optimal patient outcomes through exceptional clinical care.
* Achieve optimal patient outcomes and objectives through effective leadership and direction.
* Lead staff through identification of opportunities for development, learning and improvement.
* Build a cooperative working environment among multidisciplinary team members, creating a high‐functioning, outcome‐focused unit.
* Maintain professional standards of practice via evaluation of services and key strategies.
* Ensure optimal procurement and allocation of resources, including recruitment and budgeting, to achieve service objectives.
Qualifications:
* Extensive senior clinical expertise and skills in mental health leadership.
* Experience in provision of comprehensive evidence‐based patient care.
* Expertise in managing a cost centre budget and people management.
* Evidence of contribution to ongoing quality initiatives and improvements.
* Ongoing commitment to self‐evaluation and professional development.
* Post‐registration qualifications relevant to nursing practice and/or people management/leadership qualifications (highly desirable).
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements, and to undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.
