Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Leader to head our Finance Team, overseeing financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and tax compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, 5 years experience in a small/medium business environment, and leadership abilities with mentoring junior staff. Excellent communication, teamwork, and quality policies are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage monthly payroll, leave accruals, superannuation and salary sacrifice arrangements
* Oversee invoicing, payment processing and bank payments
* Handle all taxation matters (Payroll Tax, GST, Company Tax, BAS, IAS, PAYG, FBT, TPAR)
* Prepare end-of-month reconciliations, journals and maintain balance sheet and profit & loss statements
* Produce management quarterly reports, budget reports and annual financial reports
Required Skills:
* Accountant certification (preferably CA or CPA)
* Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting software (MYOB and Astute payroll highly desirable)
* Candidates with previous experience in the recruitment industry will be prioritized
* Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and high attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff
