Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment in a Kitchen Hand position, integral to providing support to the catering team at Department of Defence R2 Café (Canberra). Join the team and receive full training and support while working with a dynamic environment.
The Position:
* Full time position
* Monday to Friday – 7am – 3pm
* Assist with basic food preparation, including vegetables and salads.
* Manage stock control, quality checks, and temperature monitoring.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen, food prep, storage, and service areas, with a strong focus on hygiene and food safety.
The Person:
* Hospitality experience is a plus.
* Knife handling, food safety, and preparation skills are advantageous.
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
* Positive, can-do attitude, ready to take on any task as needed
