The Role
As the Senior Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting project delivery by providing accurate, timely, and forward-looking cost insights. You'll work closely with the Project team to plan, monitor, and report on man-hours, indirect costs, and capital expenditure, ensuring full alignment with our cost-management methodology and internal controls.
You will analyse cost performance and trends, identify risks, raise concerns early, and support effective decision-making across the project lifecycle. In addition, you'll provide day-to-day support for project management systems, helping maintain strong financial compliance, transparency, and commercial discipline across the organisation.
About You
You are an experienced cost professional with a degree in Project Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience. With at least three years in a similar role-preferably within the mining sector, you bring strong expertise in cost control, cost reporting, and project cost systems.
You're highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable using Power BI, and confident navigating complex project data. Your analytical mindset, commercial awareness, and ability to identify trends and risks make you a trusted advisor to project leaders. You excel in fast-paced project environments, communicate clearly, and take a proactive approach to maintaining cost accuracy and integrity.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
