The role
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Coordinator responsible for managing the daily processing and payment of supplier invoices, expense claims, and other payments. Key duties include setting up new vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, validating project and account codes, securing approvals, entering data accurately, and maintaining organized filing systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying Accounts Payable policies and procedures consistently across the organization, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards to prevent errors and fraud.
- Preparing various payment types, such as ad-hoc, file upload, ACH, telegraphic transfers, and cheques.
- Maintaining the credit card register and processing credit card transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Managing the Accounts Payable mailbox, handling payment requests and queries professionally and efficiently.
- Uploading and posting regional vouchers on a weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis to ensure accurate financial recording.
- Making ad-hoc and monthly recodes, ensuring adjustments are accurate and compliant with financial policies.
- Supporting the Accounts Payable and Finance teams in creating procedures, reports, and documentation as needed.
Experience required:
- Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and strong MS Excel skills.
- Experience with business process transactions.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.
