Overview
Greatland is a leading new Australian Gold-Copper producer, having recently acquired the iconic Telfer mine and the Havieron gold-copper project in the Paterson region in Western Australia. Greatland is listed on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market and on the Australian Stock Exchange.
As we continue to grow our business and team, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager- HR Operations to join our team on a full time basis in our Subiaco Office with some travel to site.
About the Role
Reporting into the Head of HR, this role is responsible for implementing best standard HR practices and overseeing the day-to-day employment related issues through the effective coordination of our on-site HR team members. This is an operationally focused role which will act as the conduit between our Corporate and Site based teams and will be responsible for delivering the HR strategies developed in conjunction with the Head of HR. The position is Perth based with frequent site travel.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business
- Lead and support the in office HR team, ensuring best practice HR is applied
- Drive strategic HR initiatives to help deliver the Greatland KPIs
- Provide expert advice on IR/ER matters, navigating complex workplace scenarios with confidence
- Coach and mentor site leaders, fostering a culture of Leader-led engagement and ownership
- Engage with our corporate HR functions (systems, payroll and talent acquisition) to ensure HR Operational requirements are being met to the highest standards

The ideal candidate for this role is a confident, people-centric HR professional who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to your work and a genuine passion for implementing and improving systems of work. Other requirements include:
- Senior HR experience with mining background
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related field.
- Strong operational HR expertise in strategic planning, workforce architecture, remuneration and benefits and employee relations.
- Proficiency in Successfactors HRIS and LMS platforms (Preferred)
- Solid knowledge of employee and industrial relations in site-based settings.
- Proven ability to managing teams to compete priorities and deliver strategic outcomes
- Change management experience, with a track record in supporting organisational transitions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of creating and implementing new methods of work to enable cross functional business improvement.
- Resilient and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced or remote environments
