Female Disability Support Workers – East Melbourne
We’re seeking two compassionate and proactive FEMALE Disability Support Workers to join our team in East Melbourne, supporting a respectful male client who lives at home with his wife.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact by supporting independence, health, and community connection.
About the Role
You’ll play an important role in:
- Supporting safe mobility and walking in the community, including planning rest breaks and avoiding trip hazards.
- Facilitating water-based and gym exercise programs as guided by his Physio, and liaising with the Physio when required.
- Assisting the client to engage in leisure activities such as local walks, library visits, and community outings.
- Encouraging daily routines, pacing activities, and using visual prompts and written supports to strengthen memory, planning, and sequencing.
- Helping the client manage fatigue, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful community participation.
Shifts:
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 10:00am to 3:30pm
About You
We are looking for female Disability Support Workers who are:
- Patient, reliable, and excellent problem-solvers.
- Confident supporting mobility and water based exercise programs.
- Skilled in promoting independence, planning safe community activities, and supporting executive function.
- Positive, respectful, and committed to empowering clients to live well.
Certificates & Licences Required:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Australian Driver’s Licence and fully insured vehicle
Pay Rates (SCHADS Award B2.1 – Casual):
- Base hourly: $43.23
- Afternoon shift (ends 8pm–midnight, Mon–Fri): $47.55
- Active night shift (after midnight or before 6am, Mon–Fri): $48.41
- Saturday: $60.52
- Sunday: $77.81
- Public holiday: $95.10
