**Job Opportunity: Radiation Oncology Nurse**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the Gold Coast. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality care to patients with cancer.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across our Southport and Tugun sites, on a part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You will become part of a close-knit team of experienced nurses who are committed to delivering best practice care in Radiation Oncology.

About the role:

* Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient's physical and psychological needs are met.
* Undertake direct patient care including education, wound management and medication administration as per Practice Protocol.
* Effectively manage the patients that are seen each day.
* Facilitate effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physicists and radiation therapists and provide feedback and up to date information regarding patients.
* Ensure all patient interaction is documented, communicated and actioned.
* Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
* Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
* Use ISBAR communication tool for handover of patients and communication with allied health services along with documentation.
* Demonstrate reliability, motivation and flexibility.

About you:

* You must have a current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Have a minimum 2 years post graduate experience (preferred).
* Hold a background in oncology nursing, but not essential. Training in radiation oncology nursing will be provided.
* Possess exemplary interpersonal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
* Have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Show commitment to the application of best practice principles and quality improvement including the NSQHS.
* Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
* Are experienced in wound care management.
