Job Description
* Candidates must possess the ability to engage with complex participants exhibiting behaviours of concern.
* The successful candidate will have experience assisting individuals with chronic bowel issues, requiring specialised skills and knowledge in areas like digital stimulation, catheter management, and stoma care.
* They will assist clients with a range of daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in activities and outings to promote their wellbeing is a key aspect of this role.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care and progress notes is also essential for this position.
Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards to ensure client safety and comfort is a priority.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in aged care, disability support, or a related field are required.
* Previous experience working with elderly or disabled individuals, providing complex care and support is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients are essential.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others are also necessary for success in this role.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is a must.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our clients are also required.

* Current NDIS Screening Check is required.
* Current Working with Children Check is also necessary.
* Current First-Aid and CPR certificate is a must.

* Current Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance and suitable safe vehicle for participant transportation whilst on shift are also necessary.
* Physically capable to attend personal care to participants as required is essential.
