Exciting Career Opportunity:
The Leading Medical Outreach Assistant undertakes outreach in the south of the state plus supports our regional outreach teams that operate two evenings per week in the north and two evenings per week in the north west.
This role would suit someone with a background in healthcare such as a RN, EN or Paramedic that would still like to be hands on and make a difference in preventative healthcare. Our aim is to divert people away from hospital presentation via primary healthcare support.
Role Overview:
In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in our mobile healthcare team, aiding a Nurse Practitioner or Doctor. Your duties will include:
* Engaging directly with clients at various outreach sites.
* Support our North and North West teams.
* Undertake administrative activities to support the program, including data collection, reporting, MBS claiming, phone calls and follow-ups.
* Assist the healthcare practitioner throughout consulting hours as required and within the individual's clinical scope of practice.
* Be responsible for ensuring the vehicle is safe and prepared for outreach practices, including stocktaking and restocking consumables and ensuring all inventory is secure.
* Drive the vehicle to and from outreach locations, ensuring that it is appropriately and safely parked when there.
* Proactively collect and collate patient feedback.
* Support the promotion of the service through the collection of testimonials, photos, videos and other appropriate mediums.
* Interact with patients in a manner that promotes the services as safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
* Maintain all Outreach Program information, referral pathways and how-to guides
This position will support the Outreach Program, which will operates Weekdays and early evenings.

* Qualification or previous experience working within a clinical experience is desirable.
