This role provides senior Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy services within the Queensland Ambulance Service Falls Co-Response Program and the Integrated Multidisciplinary Post-Acute Complex Care Team The Role An opportunity has become available for several Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist – Seniors (QAS Co-responder/IMPACCT Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Manage an allocated workload to deliver senior physiotherapy/occupational therapy services, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation Make high-level clinical decisions, including discharge planning and intervention Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols Lead and supervise less experienced clinicians, Allied Health Assistants, and students About you To be successful in this position you will require: Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy AHPRA Registration Working with children check (GCH will cover cost) Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Driver licence Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable) Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum, $64.64 - $69.55 per hour About Us The Integrated Multi-disciplinary, Post-Acute and Complex Care Team includes the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Falls Co-response Program, Multi-Disciplinary Avoidance and Post-Acute Service, Complex Care Nurse Navigator Service, Complex Discharge Service, and Integrated Multidisciplinary Proactive Risk Identification and Navigation Team. It comes under the overarching leadership of Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Community Services, Medicine. The QAS Falls Co-Response Program provides a multi-tiered multi-disciplinary response to Triple Zero (000) calls where a patients' condition relates to a fall. It comprises of a two-member crew including a paramedic and a health practitioner (Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist) who will collaboratively complete a comprehensive assessment, provide brief intervention and together determine the most appropriate disposition pathway for the patient.
