Ameya Care Support Services – Atherton QLD
Ameya Care Support Services is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers, and in particular males for our participants exercising their right for Choice and Control, to join our team in the Cairns region.
As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to our participants, empowering them to live independently and with dignity.
What you'll be doing
Assist participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping and social engagement
Provide transportation and escort services to enable participants to access community activities and appointments
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised care plans that address the unique needs of each participant
Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care
Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualifications in Aged Care or Disability Support
Demonstrated experience in providing person-centered care and support to the aged or disabled community
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with participants, families and healthcare professionals
A caring, empathetic and patient approach to ensure the needs of our participants are met with dignity and respect
A current unrestricted C Class driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
