Boilermaker
Minimum Qualification / Experience
* Grade 12
* Qualified Boilermaker – Red Seal
* Fitting experience would be beneficial
* Write, understand and communicate in English
* No criminal record
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Must be prepared to work after hours (overtime).
* Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
* Planning and executing work in a workshop environment
* Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE & MHS legislation.
* Read and interpret Drawings and technical plans
* Perform welding (Stick, Mig, Tig, and flux-core)
* Conduct grinding gouging and finishing work
* Use oxy-fuel or plasma cutting equipment.
* Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions.
* To ensure that Safety rules and procedures are adhere to, according to the rules and regulations of the workshop and mine.
* Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment.
* Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
* Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
