Shore is one of Australia's leading independent schools, known for academic excellence, authentic Christian faith, and the spirit of belonging that defines our community. A cornerstone of this community is the American Tea, Shore's much-loved Spring Fair and major fundraising event, delivered across our North Sydney and Northbridge campuses on the same day.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised American Tea Convenor to lead the planning and delivery of this iconic event in 2026 on a 7-month contract

A little bit about the role:

Reporting to the Head of Events and working closely with the Shore Parents' Association (SPA), the American Tea Convenor is the central coordinator responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of the American Tea.

This role manages a large volunteer workforce, oversees multiple event workstreams, manages budgets in collaboration with the SPA Treasurer, and ensures the event is delivered safely and professionally, in line with Shore's values and policies.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position of 30.4 hours per week, with flexibility to work either four or five days per week, by agreement.

To be successful, you will:

* Have demonstrated experience leading large-scale events or complex projects
* Be highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple stakeholders
* Communicate professionally and effectively with volunteers, committees and staff
* Bring strong leadership skills within a volunteer-based environment
* Have experience managing budgets and tracking expenditure
* Be comfortable working within governance, risk and compliance frameworks
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check
* Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of Shore
