Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Attendant to join our dynamic team at a premier hotel in Melbourne's West.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome guests, recommend food and drink offerings, and ensure service is delivered to hotel brand standards.
* Greet guests at the bistro and bar during breakfast, explain buffet and egg offerings, create memorable dining experiences at dinner, handle Room Service orders, and assist with Conference and Events.
* Prepare each outlet prior to service, including table, buffet, bar, and mis en place setup.
* Restock outlet fridges to par levels, maintain stock correctly in accordance with stock control regulations.
* Ensure guest enquiries and restaurant dining reservations are followed through in a professional manner.
Requirements
* Food and Beverage a la carte dining service experience in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
* Function and Event experience from corporate to social between 200-300 people.
* Confident with 3 plate carry.
* Beverage knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, and ability to use creative flair when mixing cocktails.
* Food knowledge of modern Australian cuisine.
* Computer literacy POS Infosys and PMS Opera.
* Previous cashiering experience is highly desirable.
* A genuine interest to work in the hotel industry and drive to learn more about hotel operations.
* A positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
* Be ready to work as a team, all working together to flex in changing situations.
* Self-motivated and a self-starter who is ready to take the lead in any situation.
* Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills, including full comprehension with understanding.
* A current Victorian RSA certificate.
* Available to work on a rotational roster – early mornings starting at 6:30 am, afternoons, late nights until 1 or 2 am for bar and events, weekends, and public holiday shifts are all part of the job.
