About The Position
The Contracts Administrator ensures the effective oversight of the Property Services branch contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, legislative requirements, and operational standards. This role works closely with contractors and stakeholders to maintain the functionality and safety of operational and community buildings. It encompasses coordinating programmed and reactive maintenance, monitoring contract performance, and maintaining accurate financial and administrative records. The position also supports sustainability initiatives within asset management and contributes to continuous improvement in service delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and publish detailed scopes of work and specifications for building service contracts through quotation and tender processes, in alignment with the City's procurement policy.
Administer Property Services contracts, ensuring compliance, performance monitoring, and accurate processing of all financial and contractual documentation.
Ensure compliance with statutory and operational requirements for building safety systems, including fire protection, electrical safety, emergency lighting, and equipment testing.
Verify and record contractor safety documentation in accordance with legislative requirements and City policies.

Position Requirements
The successful applicant will ideally possess qualifications and experience within Asset / Facilities Management, Contract Administration or Project Management. However, applicants who possess strong knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the position but do not have formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Sound knowledge of the legislative requirements relating to procurement regulations is a key element of this position, along with effective communication and stakeholder management skills, the ability to undertake research and analytics, and strong time management skills.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration And Benefits
A salary starting from $89,127 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
Up to 21% Superannuation (with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
22 Annual Leave days per annum
