Location: Remote - Australia

Description

Future Group is not your traditional financial services company — we're a collective of super funds and services committed to changing our planet now for a better tomorrow. When you join us, you’ll become part of a team united by a clear and important mission: to lead the investment movement by advocating and campaigning for a future worth retiring into.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Project Manager with a solid understanding of superannuation operations and regulations, who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact. You’ll be steering some of Future Group’s significant initiatives, keeping things moving, communicating openly, and bringing people together to deliver real results.

Your understanding of how a super fund operates, and how different business units connect, will help you navigate projects with confidence and credibility. No two days will look the same, and that’s what excites you. You know how to adjust, prioritise, and keep the momentum going in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment all while staying true to our mission and values.

And the best part, you’ll be joining an amazing team. Our crew thrives on collaboration, innovation, and purpose. Expect to work alongside passionate colleagues who are united in their drive to lead positive change. At Future Group, diversity, creativity, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

We strongly encourage applications from people of diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and identities. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome and supported. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, reach out to our talent team at – we’ll happily accommodate your needs to ensure an equitable experience for all.

Future Group values lived experience and we encourage applications from people with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, who have caring responsibilities, from culturally and racially marginalised groups, people with disability, people who experience ageism, LGBTQIA+ people, and people who experience social exclusion because of their social class.

You’ll Love This Job If

- You have a proven ability to manage multiple small to medium projects simultaneously, or one larger project while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- You excel in creating structured workflows that enhance project visibility and team collaboration.
- You are passionate about aligning project deliverables with strategic goals and driving organisational success.
- You thrive on problem‑solving and enjoy identifying solutions that keep projects on track.
- You value a mission‑driven approach and are eager to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.

We’re Looking for Someone Who

- Has been managing projects in a Project Manager role or similar for at least 4 years.
- Enjoys working in a start‑up to scale‑up business culture.
- Drives outcomes independently – you’re proactive, resourceful, and confident making decisions. You identify what needs to be done and get on with it without waiting for direction.
- Thrives in change – you’re comfortable managing shifting priorities, evolving timelines, and moving between projects in a scale‑up environment.
- Builds relationships fast – you take the initiative to introduce yourself, connect with people, and immerse yourself in the business. You understand that stakeholder engagement is about curiosity, trust, and communication (not just updates).
- Leads with confidence – you naturally influence and align people around a goal, even without formal authority.
- Has an eye on delivery and detail – you balance strategic direction with practical execution, ensuring every project delivers value and momentum.

You’re Someone Who

- Has proven Project Management experience, delivering projects from initiation through completion.
- You’re in the middle stage of your PM growth, a safe pair of hands who is comfortable managing multiple small to medium projects at once, or one larger project. You’re looking to continue to build your experience so that in a few years you’ll be managing large and complex projects or programs of work.
- Experience in superannuation, with a solid understanding of how a fund operates and how its business units connect.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to rally teams and stakeholders toward common goals.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging at all levels of the business.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, using data and insight to guide decisions and solve problems.
- Budget, resource, and risk management expertise, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver against expectations.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for better ways to work and deliver outcomes.

In This Role, You Will

- Take ownership of multiple projects, from scoping through delivery.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities, and risks, and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Adjust timelines, priorities, and resources as business needs evolve, maintaining clarity and control.
- Provide leadership to project teams and collaborators, creating accountability and momentum.
- Communicate proactively and transparently with all stakeholders, keeping projects visible and aligned.
- Identify and mitigate risks before they escalated.

- The choice to work from home, from one of our co‑working spaces, from anywhere within Australia or even from overseas (for a short period of time).
- The potential to own a piece of the Future Group pie with our unique Employee Share Ownership Programme (with some fine print).
- Fun company‑wide events.
- Progressive, people‑focused policies and benefits including Menstrual and Menopausal Leave, Public holiday swaps, Cultural Leave, Mental Health Leave and Gender Affimation Guidelines and Leave.

The groups are a safe, supportive space for people to share experiences and ideas.
- An inclusive parental leave package, with 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for birthing and non‑birthing parents of all genders.
- Other perks such as access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), the ability to purchase leave, novated leasing arrangements for electric vehicles, and a few more to find out!
