About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Security Assistant to join our team. As a Health and Security Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors at our hospital.
This is a casual position that requires flexibility and a strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Responding to alarms and security incidents in a timely and effective manner;
* Supervising key areas and providing assistance with incident de-escalation when required;
* Collaborating with healthcare teams and external agencies such as NSW Police as necessary;
* Maintaining a secure hospital environment by supporting frontline staff and moving equipment safely in accordance with WHS principles.
Key Requirements
* A current NSW Security Industries License 1A;
* A nationally recognised First Aid Certificate or equivalent qualification;
* The ability to manage aggressive incidents and respond to duress situations effectively;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
