About the Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our busy manufacturing site. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for keeping plant and equipment running at peak performance, reducing downtime, and building a strong preventative maintenance culture.
You'll manage a skilled team of trades and technicians, oversee contractors, and work closely with production and operations to ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support the maintenance team
* Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly and minimise downtime
* Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs
* Oversee CMMS use, schedules, and asset management
* Manage contractor performance and compliance
* Partner with production and operations to align priorities
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance
* Support capital planning and improvement projects
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor in manufacturing
* Strong technical knowledge across plant and equipment maintenance
* Familiar with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
* Skilled at leading and motivating teams
* Strong problem-solving ability and practical execution focus
* Contractor management and WHS compliance experience
* Background in plastics, polymers, packaging, or FMCG (desirable)
