What's The Role
The role of the Production Technician while working rotating shifts is to undertake operational activities for the safe operation and optimisation of all field assets and equipment on the QGC Midstream LNG facility.
What You'll Be Doing
Coordinate control of work on the facility, including equipment for maintenance, permit authorization, and minor projects within designated areas.
Execute equipment isolations and work preparations in compliance with Permit to Work procedures.
Perform duties as an Authorised Gas Tester under the Permit to Work system.
Operate LNG plant equipment following standard operating procedures to meet environmental and compliance standards.
Ensure production targets and quality specifications for products and waste streams are achieved.
Monitor and report abnormal operating conditions; take corrective actions and upscale unresolved issues.
Enforce adherence to guidelines, standing instructions, and procedures for all personnel accessing the plant.
Maintain accurate shift logs detailing plant status, process parameters, and equipment availability; conduct thorough shift handovers.
Respond safely and efficiently to trips and emergency situations; participate in emergency response training and reviews.
Troubleshoot process and technical issues, recommend improvements, and propose minor plant changes to enhance operations and availability.
What You Bring
The Production Technician should have significant experience in the operations of an LNG, gas processing or complex hydrocarbon facility, or similar experience gained on a Major Hazard Facility.
Experienced user of Permit to Work systems for the hydrocarbon or Major Hazard Facility industry.
Basic user of Microsoft Office applications.

Collaboration & Communication: Highly team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities to engage across diverse groups.

The incumbent will possess an operational background with experience in at least three (3) of the following systems:
Liquefaction / refrigeration / cryogenic processes
Gas turbines, compressor control systems
Scrubbers, absorbers
CO2 removal systems
Waste heat recovery, fired heaters, furnaces or flare systems
Gas compressors (centrifugal, reciprocating or multi-stage)
Splitters, separators
Power generation, turbo alternators
Plant utilities (demineralized water, nitrogen, plant air, instrument air, effluent treatment)
Marine activities (mooring and berthing)
LNG storage and transfer systems (Loading)
Process controls and safety systems (control loops, instrumented protective systems)
Emergency Response Systems
