Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Unit Lead
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Unit Lead plays a crucial role in improving outcomes for clients with mental health issues.
* This involves working collaboratively with unit staff, emergency department teams, and community services to develop and implement effective care strategies.
The successful candidate will possess high-level skills, knowledge, and clinical expertise in mental health nursing, preferably with at least five years of postgraduate experience.
* Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, as well as liaison and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
The position requires comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 2013 and Work Health & Safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a clinical expert and resource for nursing, medical, and allied health staff involved in managing patients with mental health concerns.
2. Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to negotiate patient care recommendations.
Requirements
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Possession of postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualifications or completion of an accredited hospital-based program.

* A competitive salary range of $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro-rata).
