This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join a friendly and supportive community health nursing team within South Western Sydney Local Health District and contribute to the District's vision of Leading Care, healthier communities. In this role, you will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with management, Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants to support evidence based practice, holistic care and improved patient outcomes. You will provide clinical leadership across the nursing workforce, strengthening capability through contemporary education approaches and supporting service improvement initiatives, including data collection and the use of Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to inform high quality, person centred care.

Are You the Right Fit?

You are an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who brings strong clinical credibility, leadership and a passion for developing others within a community health setting. You provide effective preceptorship, mentorship and coaching, fostering a collaborative learning culture that supports nurses at all levels to deliver safe, compassionate and evidence based care. You communicate confidently, apply adult learning principles and utilise a range of educational strategies to build individual and team capability while contributing to data collection, evaluation and quality improvement activities. You practise with accountability and integrity, adhering to relevant legislation, professional standards and codes of conduct, and model the values and behaviours outlined in the NSW Health Code of Conduct and Transforming Your Experience and Leadership strategies.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
2. Can you describe your experience in clinical education or clinical teaching, including how you apply adult learning principles and competency based assessment to support evidence based nursing practice and quality patient care?
3. Please provide an example that demonstrates your ability to communicate and work effectively with patients or consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary team, including how you maintain professionalism, respond to challenges or conflict, and contribute to safe, compassionate and culturally responsive care.
4. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
