Hourly Rate: $ super + $2.78 regional allowance

About the Role
Ngunytju Tjitji Pirni, in partnership with Hope Community Services, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Peer Support Worker with a lived experience of recovery from alcohol and/or drug misuse to join our Goldfields Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS) team.
As a Peer Worker, your lived experience is your strength. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey by offering empathy, understanding, and practical guidance. You'll work alongside counsellors and educators, helping clients set goals, connect with their community, and access the services they need.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact for clients accessing CADS
* Support clients in identifying and working toward personal recovery goals
* Assist participants in building community connections
* Facilitate peer support groups
* Maintain accurate records using our online client management system
* Advocate for consumer rights and share feedback on service accessibility with Primary Health Networks
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has personal lived experience of recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction
* Has maintained a significant period free from problematic substance use
* Can reflect on their recovery journey and share insights and strategies
* Demonstrates strong communication skills and emotional resilience
* Understands and maintains professional boundaries
* Can work collaboratively with community members and health professionals
* Has basic IT skills to manage records and reporting
* Understands or is willing to learn about the local health system and referral pathways
