The role can be based out of either Newcastle, Laverton or Sydney.
1. Supporting the Manufacturing segment across multiple states, by functioning as a Subject Matter Expert of steel making, rod & bar rolling and processing technologies
2. Add value by change management and technical leadership through all stages of new technology adoption
3. Scanning the environment to identify new opportunities for commercialized technologies
4. Active and hands-on support (by team) towards new technology projects and commissioning
5. Coach and mentor engineers and graduates in technology applications
6. Advance the environmental sustainability of the operations within Manufacturing
7. An Engineering qualification (Metallurgy, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) and/or equivalent extensive attainment of technical know-how
8. A broad overview of steelmaking, smelting, or metallurgical technologies
9. Strong business acumen complimented by problem solving & analytical skills
10. Excellent oral & written communication with the ability to compile a business case
11. Demonstrated experience with maintaining OEM and technology network/partner relationships
12. Proven ability to motivate, influence, mentor and coach the team’s actions to achieve outcomes understanding the long-term implications on the business
