Perth Animal Eye Hospital is seeking a self-motivated veterinary nurse to join our energetic, dynamic team. We pride ourselves on our on-the-job training and ongoing learning support.
This full time position is based in a busy ophthalmology referral hospital in the Southern Suburbs, consisting of 2 specialists, 2 residents, 1 registrar, and 6 nurses. Our purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and anesthesia equipment.
The working hours will be 38 hours worked Monday-Friday between 7:30 – 6:30 pm with an on-call roster of one weekend every 6 weeks. The on-call roster is for emergencies only.
The role will cover a range of aspects of surgical nursing, anesthesia, customer service, patient care, and ophthalmology.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in vet nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- VSB registered
- Great work ethic
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a close working relationship with your fellow teammates
- Highly effective communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- An amazing ‘can do’, team player attitude
