About the Role:
As an Administration Officer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the firm. You'll oversee a junior administrative staff member and work closely with our team of accountants to ensure the smooth delivery of internal and client-facing processes.
This role is ideal for someone who has previous experience working in an accounting or professional services environment and is confident managing a broad range of administrative and finance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support a junior administrative staff member
* Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
* Process client invoicing and follow up outstanding payments
* Perform end-of-month bank and account reconciliations
* Provide administrative support to Accountants
* Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) via phone for client and internal matters
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal procedures
* General office management duties, including ordering supplies and liaising with external vendors
About You:
* Previous experience in a similar administration role within an accounting firm (preferred)
* Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Confident working in a fast-paced, professional environment
* Experience supervising or mentoring staff (desirable)
